Poland and Rocky Horror 2013!

Hi again!
So, I got back from my four day trip in Krakow, Poland a few days ago. It was pretty amazing. We saw many historical sites, such as Auschwitz, but it was also a very beautiful place. Very photogenic and full of perfect scenery, which I thought I'd share with you today.
Our hotel was really fabulous, and we were situated only five minutes away from the town which meant we could walk around and see this. I even had a view of the two clock towers from my hotel room. It was so lovely to wake up to in the morning, especially as the weather was so good and everything was light!
L-R: Charlotte, Shelby, me. My room mates for the week:) We loved our hotel space and we had a lot of fun together. People often came in and out of each other's rooms so it was a lot of fun. I've really brushed up on my poker skills since being in Poland.

Shopping was a lot of fun too. We went to the shopping centre on both nights of our full days, and we also shopped around the town and the market on both days. We were so close to everything! Shopping isn't really much of a different experience to it is at home, but it was just a lot more exciting with my friends.

To be honest, I think this photo really captures the essence of poker night, doesn't it? Yeah, not really.
Some friends of mine:) I took a lot of beautiful photos of the scenery, but I didn't want to bore any of you too much! I decided not to upload any photos of the concentration camps, in case it affects anyone, but it was a really unforgettable experience for me.

The night after I got back, I also broke my Rocky Horror virginity. I'd never been to the live show before, even though I've wanted to so, so much and I love the movie, but I finally got to! The live show was brilliant. Really fantastic. Transvestites? Just up my street. It really was an experience, and I'd recommend it to anyone. Here was my costume...
(Ooo, sassy). I loved everyone's Rocky Horror costumes! It was just so much fun! A really good laugh. I loved my costume too. Pretty fetching, eh? I looked like I could have been apart of Rose Tints My World. I went with my friend Shelby and our mum's and we all had a lot of fun.
Pretty cute, right? We're thinking a Rocky Horror theme for our joint 16th...

Mentioning birthdays: I turn 15 in just under 4 weeks! Pretty cool. I'm going up to Camden for my birthday, so I'm pretty excited about all of the shopping experiences there such as the market and charity shops.
I've just got back to school after four weeks off for work experience and Poland. It's not been very fun... This weekend I'm jam-packed again. We have bank holiday Monday, so I'm attending our local fair both Saturday and Sunday night with my friends. They're also staying at mine this weekend to hopefully film some vlogs for my YouTube channel which will be fun. I can't wait for the fair - it's always great fun. I also have the go ahead to get Bastille concert tickets for the winter tour in October/November. I'm really excited about that as Bastille are my favourite band.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my blogpost:) Cheers my dears!
Megan xoxo

2012 Re-Cap!

Hi!

Once again, this blog post should have probably been done a lot earlier as we're already coming up full speed to May, but I guess better late than never, right? So here's a little re-cap of my 2012. 2013 is already looking up to being a great year, so I hope it can top last year!

I got the chance to go on an amazing weekend trip to London with my school early on in 2012. We got to visit Shakespeare's Globe and watch one of the performances as well as go on a tour around the globe.
We visited the Modern Tate art museum and also the Film History museum and then went on to see the west-end performance of Matilda in the evening. The next day we got to visit the Studio Tour of Harry Potter. I took lots and lots of photos! I'm a massive fan of Harry Potter, so it was a lot of fun to be there.
I also got to go to Chessington World of Adventures with my friends. It was my second time going to the park, but I loved it the first time. Despite the weather being horrendous throughout the day, it was a great laugh! We spent a lot of time in the shelter of the Bubbleworks Factory, as well as going around multiple times to try and get the perfect Grace Face in our photo.
Another school trip involved us visiting Ypres in Belgium. It was so interesting! I love history and it was so great to learn about the things. We got to walk through the trenches and visit Menin Gate and various cemeteries for the soldiers and I was with a lot of friends, so it was fun. Belgium also makes great chocolate!

I also got to attend V Festival for the first time. This was my first ever festival, so I was super excited and there were a lot of acts playing that I was looking forward to. From going to the festival, my music taste actually widened a bit later on and I now like more different artists that I never really considered before. Plus, the weather was beautiful! Perfect for a festival.

I think my favourite act was Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. It was later in the evening and everyone was just so chilled and relaxed and it had such a great vibe that really lived up to festival expectations.
Two days after V Festival, I got to head on up to Tenerife with my family and some family friends for 10 days before going back to school! I love the sunshine and I love going on holiday. This holiday was actually a lot of fun despite having some hotel problems. It was a great way to spend time with my little brother as well.

Who doesn't love a great sunset photo and some good looking guys? It was my little brother's 12th birthday when we were out there, and the staff at the restaurant were so lovely! They brought him a cake and had everyone sing happy birthday as he blew out the candles. I took lots of photos of that! It was lovely.
When I got back from Tenerife, I got to see Lady Gaga in concert. It was my second time seeing her. First for the Monster Ball tour, and this was the BTW tour. I love Lady Gaga, and it was a great birthday present!
Isn't she wonderful?

Then, once back at school, I continued my travelling adventures to Normandy in France for a week! We did lots of activities including fencing, archery, bread making, assault courses in the mud (I got stuck in), rock climbing and more! It was great fun. As you can see, my great friends are doing the bunny ears behind my head. Haha, so funny... so very funny.

St. Mont Michael was a beautiful building. And come on; why wouldn't you be excited to see llamas?

I really had such a great 2012. It was full of lots of travelling adventures and I'm looking forward to more coming up soon! I'm going to V Festival again this year as well as Summer in the City. Also, on Tuesday, I'm heading over to Poland for four days for a history trip where I'll be involved in things such as visiting concentration camps there. I'm sorry for the extended blog, but I had to re-cap my great year! Maybe you could give my blog a follow:) It'd be lovely. Thanks!

March 2013 Haul - First blog post!

Hello!

This is my first ever blog post, which is pretty exciting! Though, I don't know if this is even going to turn out right in the end, so I'm going on a bit of a whim here. Fingers crossed, eh?
It hasn't been long since the end of March, so I thought for my first post that I'd do a March Haul of 2013. This blog won't just be about fashion and hauls and whatnot... There will be posts of all of my travelling experiences and adventures in my daily life! If I go on any adventures, that is. I hope you enjoy:)

First of all, I purchased these lovely shoes from New Look! They're black suede with little cone spiked studs over the toe and round the heel! Pretty awesome if you ask me. They were only £15 in a sale from New Look, so it would have been a crime not to buy them.

I also headed on over to Topshop and Topman whilst I was out shopping. This Topman jacket was in the sale for £20 and I fortunately had vouchers, so I decided to buy it. It's a denim oversized jacket, and as you can see, I've rolled the sleeves up a
s I love all the 80's styles! I also personalised it with badges.
Now, I'm not much of a dress person, but when I was in Topshop, I found two denim dresses that I really liked. The first one was a trapeze swing dress for £38 which is featured in the picture on the right. It looks nice worn over a t-shirt with tights and boots! I also brought another denim dress (oops) for £38 featured in the photo on the left.
Then I was wandering around Topshop and my mum picked up a cut out shoulder white to grey ombre sweatshirt that I really loved! It was £25. I picked it up in a size 14, as I love my sweatshirts to be oversized.
Then I went off to Primark! Now, usually, it's super hard to find many nice things in Primark, mainly due to the quality. But I was lucky this trip. But always remember to check the labels for the sizes, as they always muck up the hangers!
The first thing I picked up was a pair of high-waisted shorts in a sort of Sherlock style checked pattern with cute little charms on the waistband. I barely ever wear shorts as I'm not the most confident person, but I loved these shorts! Plus, they were in the sale. For... wait for it... £3! Um, wow!
Primark was actually being super kind to me this particular day, because I managed to find 3 sweatshirts each at £12 that I loved! They're all XL in men's sizes, but I love big jumpers as I said before! I chose a Rolling Stones jumper, a Ramones jumper (which was actually in the wash at this time, whoops), and a Breakfast Club jumper, as I'm a big lover of anything 80's.

I also checked out the little home area in Primark and found a super cute cushion for £7! It just screamed my name!
I do love tea...!
And last but not least, I also picked up some make-up from Topshop. I've never brought Topshop make-up before and the idea really wasn't that appealing. People had raved on about it, but I prefer independent make-up brands. But I was browsing through their lipsticks and actually found the most beautiful lip colour for £8. It's called 'Beguiled'. It's a lovely purple colour with a matte finish. It's now my favourite!
I also got a lip liner in 'Deception'. It was £6. The colour is similar to the lipstick, and it's a number one rule to wear lip liner with reds/purples! Bleeding lipstick is the worst.

Anyhow, this was my first blog post! It was actually fun to do. It seems like I've spent so much on clothes and make-up, but I've actually had a lot of money saved up from a period of time as well as vouchers!
I hope you enjoyed my post. Thanks a lot!
